Small
Groups
Small Groups are formed for different reasons: Bible
Study, focus on a problem in the community, to support each
other as we experience similar life situations, etc. Common
Characteristics in the Groups:
- Gathering and perhaps refreshments
- "Checking
in" to see what life has brought each person since the
last gathering
- Time for care-giving and specific support
of members as needed
- A time of shared prayer-intercession
and devotional
- A clear parting time with a sending
Good Shepherd groups at this time are structured
using either Serendipity materials or focused through the
use of Via de Cristo or Emmaus Weekends service cards. FOR

Via de Cristo/Emmaus Reunion Group
This group
is for people who have attended one of the Via de Cristo
or Emmaus weekends or any of the derivative weekends from
these main organizations. The group will focus on the service
card received by each participant on the weekend with discussion
about Piety, Action, and Study. The group will also focus
on a service project related to community outreach. Meetings
are held every third Saturday of the month at 9:30am at church
or a member's home. This group is invitational to any person
who has attended one of the weekends, not just folks who
attend GSLC. FOR

WELCA Women's Group
The women of Good Shepherd have formed a "WELCA" -
Women of the ELCA - group. The WELCA group meets on the second
Tuesday of each month at 1:30 PM. Currently we are using
the Lutheran Women Today magazine bible study series.
ALL interested women in the congregation and/or their friends
are welcome to join us. The purpose of this group is to grow
in faith through bible studies, be disciples by a life-long
journey that is full of blessings, affirm our gifts, support
one another, and engage in action by touching lives in our
community. FOR MORE INFO:

Wonderful Wednesdays
In various cycles throughout the year, on
Wednesdays we gather at 11:30am with a bag lunch, prayer concerns,
and jokes for sharing. Then we have a learning time and lots
of relaxed, good discussion. A prayer session ends each meeting
that has allowed us to sit both with God and with the needs
of friends and family. Come and be with us as you are able – ALL
are Welcome. FOR
